2007 – Present Eolectric Wind Projects – Senior Manager of Project Development
As Senior Wind Project Developer I am responsible for pursuing and carrying on new wind farm development activities throughout North America, primarily in Ontario, from site prospecting through to commencement of construction.
2007 – 2008 Rwanda, Africa – Development Consultant
Developing policies and strategies for the Rwanda Government for a national renewable energy strategy.
2006 – 2007 New York State, U.S.A. - Development Consultant
Working with Assemblyman- Sam Hoyt developing government policies, strategies and recommendations for a widespread implementation of renewable energy projects across the State of New York. Report was presented to the Governor in early February 2007.
2003- Present Canadian Council of Professional Certification – Wind Representative
Responsible for the development of industry standards of persons employed throughout the Wind industry in Canada. Communications with colleges and university’s across Canada developing curriculum’s that meet or exceed industry standards. Reviewing and testing of knowledge standards for the certification applicants.
2003 – 2006 Velocity Power Ltd. – Developing Consultant
Wind Farm project developer - heading the identification and development of projects across Canada. Responsible for the site identification, conducting grid and distribution assessments landowner presentations, site acquisition, wind resource assessment management, met tower installations, permitting and turbine negotiations. Liaison with municipalities, provincial governments, federal governments, and responsible energy system operators.
2003 – 2007 Westman Energy – Development consultant
Wind Farm project developer - heading the identification and development of projects across Manitoba. Responsible for the site identification, conducting grid and distribution assessments landowner presentations, site acquisition, wind resource assessment management, met tower installations, permitting and turbine negotiations. Liaison with municipalities, provincial governments, federal governments, and Manitoba Hydro on wind farm developments in the province of Manitoba
2002-2006 Gale Force Energy/Airtricity – Development Consultant

2003 - 2007 Eagle Lake Wind Farm - Developing Consultant
With the assistance of Eagle Lake, managing all aspects of the Feasibility Studies, including the initial data collection and analysis and the commissioning of all studies and expert reports needed to determine whether Eagle Lake will proceed with the construction of the Wind Farm.
Negotiating in good faith and executing the Operating Agreement and any other agreement required to construct and operate the Wind Farm Providing assistance with any regulatory approvals that must be obtained in connection with the Wind Farm, including those from the Ontario Energy Board and the Independent Electricity Market Operator;
Ensure that the Minister of Indian and Northern Affairs executes the Wind Farm Property Lease with the Wind Farm Operating Entity; Ensure that the number of members of Eagle Lake who participate in the Employment Training is sufficient to meet the Employment Objective.
Assisting Eagle Lake in the development, management, operation and maintenance of the Wind Farm; Assisting Eagle Lake in carrying out all financial accounting and cash management for the Wind Farm;
Project turned over for construction in January 2007.
1987 - Present Courtney Energy Systems and Design - Owner
Conducting feasibility studies, Wind Resource assessments and designing and installing renewable energy systems. Installed over three thousand renewable energy systems across Canada and around the world. Conducted 140+ Wind Resources assessments and installed 120+ assessment towers.
2000 - 2006 Western Region Energy - Consultant
Grand Council Treaty #3
Identify, develop and implement Economic Development opportunities in the First Nations of North Western Ontario. Facilitated workshops, interviews, conferences, research, program management and financial administration. Designed & implemented work plans, proposals, research and coordination of Feasibility studies and projects. Represented the Western Region First Nations on the Grand Council; Treaty #3 Working Group.
