Accomplishments over 21 years at Harley-Davidson: I designed and simulated our warehousing storage and retrieval systems and velocity delivery plan. I am also responsible for all Fabrication and Class “A†Paint systems process improvements on current and new model year paint projects. These include Phosphate and E-coat pre-treatment using primarily ABB Robotics, Nordson black and clear powder coating systems (PPG Powder, PPG acrylic, Pittsburg Paint Group) and NALCO Industries, a major chemical supplier of paint thinners for Motorcycle Frame paint and acrylic paints for sheet metal components such as Fuel Tanks and fenders.
Approximately from 1993-1995 Harley-Davidson: Senior Manufacturing Engineer and Project Manager/engineer. I was responsible for the design, construction, process plan, and startup of the new chrome and zinc plating facility (1995) which also included staffing and operator training and chemistry testing procedures. This included facility construction, equipment selection purchase installation and startup.

Design and construction new State of art Robotic conveyorized Paint Facility which includes Pre-treatment, Finesse, Robotic wet spray, Powdered Clear and Powdered frame paint. I created dynamic computer simulation models to determine system capabilities and optimization of product mixes prior to facility construction. I also determined and wrote all of the equipment specifications for the building power systems.

Red Lion, PA. Products Produced; NC and CNC machining of kinetic energy projectiles, timers, fuses, rocket motor bodies, mortars and various classified/secret weapons systems and controls. My combined department consisted of approx. 50 salaried and hourly people. This included Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, CNC programming, electrical design, gauge lab and the tool room.
1984-1985; AMP Inc. Tooling and product design, Harrisburg, Pa.
Worked in development of communications cabling and harness systems and shielded data link connectors. Also responsible for high speed continuous strip stamping operations and for chrome and Zinc plating of ring and spade lead connectors.
1981-1984; Cuttler Hammer Controls. Sr. Product Engineer (Eaton Corp.) Bowling Green, Kentucky. Responsible for the design, fabrication, and construction of new custom electronic enclosures and control panels complete to customer expectations. Also for the implementation and testing design changes for relays, contactors, motor protectors, pressure switches, citation starters, and coils and injection and compression molding processes for relay housings
1977-1981 Production Supervisor, Texas Instruments Inc. I was responsible for the manufacture of appliance and AC motor relays and thermal overloads. I directed the activities of an average of 75 + assemblers, testers and lead people. These responsibilities included complete P&L accountability for my cost centers, meeting production goals also, forecasting quarterly/annual budgets and manpower requirements. My duties included performance appraisals for all my people. (Non union site) Basically all hiring, team building, planning, discipline (if needed), and all related documentation for my individual profit center.
1971-1976, NCO Technical Engineer
I Served on the USS Koelsch DE1049, then Nuclear Submarines (USN-NCO): USS Bluefish SSN 675, USS Nautilus SSNS 571 (TAD) and USS Benjamin Franklin SSBN 640 Gold crew. I also qualified for my Dolphins on my first Patrol in less than 90 days and received a commendation from the Sub Squadron 16 command.
