EXPERIENCE:
8/81 - International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers
PRESENT 4311 Parliament Place; Lanham, Md. 20706
I have succeeded in working for many different electric companies, improved working as an apprentice, Journeymen to Master Electrician. Local 26, giving me the opportunity to expand my knowledge and skill, in this advanced engineering field. I have worked on buildings or equipment in the building of the Washington Post Newspaper Building and printing press. Various Hi-Rise Buildings (federal & state government, public and private sector), Metro Transit System (rails and stations) hydraulic pumps and equipment, water treatment plants, laboratory, hospitals, schools, refrigeration and air condition, electronic assembly plants, large shopping malls, department stores, theater, commercial buildings, and Calvert Cliff Nuclear Power Plant regulator power distribution.
I have expanded my work experience, after receiving my Electrician Masters’ License in 1986, have supervised other electricians. I have conducted as Quality Control (Inspector), Estimator, Project Manager, and Foreman. I have experience directed other employees how to work on 13,800 KA power equipment and spicing for electrical distribution. (Certify with Raychem for hot pot testing, splicing 15 KA high voltage cable, and equipment), motor control work, fire alarm systems and security system. I negotiated others to work on projects in a safe manner, using the right test equipment that is requiring in the specification. I was organized three projects at the same time that range from $1.5 to $4 million in electric work on each site. Streamlined transmittals for some large scale construction sites, surveyed what material and equipment is going to be use on the projects. Generated the ordering of material, checking the material to meet Quality Control standards, wrote the material and test reports, and inspection of the workmanship by employees. I have submitted the takeoffs from the blueprints, for bidding. I review job sites for inspections. I have Project Management development experience in after getting the project, giving leadership, analyzed the shop drawings, prepared blueprints/ shop drawings for approved drawings, and executing Request for Information and wrote the Quality Control Procedures from the specification on the project. I generate an activity log of the labor form on the projects. I secured the materials and tools are there on multiply sites, for men to do their job properly and rapidly. I have to evaluated problems, and makes fast decision when crisis occur, on the site or by blueprints. I have achieved in putting projects together from beginning stage and stay within the budget at completion. I have the responsible launching projects, keeping the jobs running on a timely schedule, with little inadvertence to the other trades. I can engineer and design an electric system to meet N.E.C. with the requirements that are needed for a project. Presented the papers needed to get a permit from the Department of Environmental Resources. I have tackled business development writing correspondences to the General Contractor or Owners for billing, Request for Information, Minority Report, Certify Payroll Reports, Invoices, Change Orders, decision-making, when problems may occur, in orchestrated team building.
