Establish a diversified supply portfolio that involved purchasing natural gas from over 400 producers and transportation upon 43 intra/interstate gas pipelines to 1000 plus end-users.
Accomplishments included:
1. Pioneering the Industry’s 1st Marketer and Producer branded reseller alliance program known as the “Shell Oil Company Alliance Programâ€. Of which, Tenneco marketed gas deliveries under Shell’s logo in conjunction to Tenneco’s name.
2. Developed the Industry’s 1st Energy Jobber Program known as the Tenneco Alliance Program (TAP). Tenneco introduced TAP as an alternative channel marketing strategy for the distribution of natural gas utilizing a nationwide network of independent marketers, primarily fuel oil distributors. TAP emphasis was to provide a full range of commodity products being natural gas, fuel oil, and electricity along with world-class customer service to industrial and residential customers being unbundled behind local utilities.
