PROJECTS:
1. Voltage Stability and Compensation of Radial System: The variation of receiving end voltage with the load power is studied. Various types of compensation
like, series compensation, shunt compensation, both series and shunt compensation are analyzed and obtained using MATLAB. The characteristics are plotted and
compared against each other.
2. Design of a Transmission line: Transmission line suitable to a given set of parameters is designed. The selection included transmission line voltage,
conductor type, conductor spacing, tower characteristics based on a given set of voltage regulation, efficiency and construction, operating, maintenance and
energy costs.
3. Voltage Stability and Compensation of Transmission System: IEEE 14 bus system is analyzed for the maximum power transfer and voltage collapse. Suitable
series shunt and series-shunt compensations are made at the required buses to increase the maximum power transfer and prevent voltage collapse. Conducted
load flow analysis of the IEEE 14 bus system in ETAP.
4. Power System Frequency Control: Power System Frequency Control System is designed from the generator control loops. The root locus plots are obtained for
various feedback values. A full order observer, estimator and both observer and estimator are designed and implemented to study the transient response. LQ
controller is designed in Simulink and the results obtained are compared with the state feedback responses.
5. Development of a Photovoltaic Model using MATLAB/SIMULINK: Designed and implemented a Photovoltaic cell in MATLAB/SIMULINK software platform. I-V and P-V
characteristics are obtained from MATLAB and SIMULINK and verified against each other.
SKILLS:
Languages: MATLAB, Programming in C and Data Structures, JAVA, HTML, PHP, XML.
Databases: MySQL, MS SQL.
Modeling/Analysis: SIMULINK, ETAP, PSPICE, MS Visio, ProEngineer.
Systems Proficiency: MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Access, Lotus Notes, Dream Weaver, Photoshop.
Operating Systems: Windows 98, 2000, XP, Vista, UNIX, Linux.
Others: AutoCAD, Citect SCADA, PL SCADA, Cicode, SMS.
HONORS:
• Recipient of 2009 Schneider Electric/Square D Foundation Intern Scholarship.
• Stood 3rd in the State of Andhra Pradesh in Intermediate Public Examination among 300,000 students.
• Event Manager and Treasurer, IAOC 2008-2009.
