o Provided support for testing State, Private and Independent roads and sidewalks to determine behaviors of materials such as concrete, metal, plastic, and testing on projects along with research work
o Tests performed include, but are not limited to the following:
• Compression Tests – determines mechanical properties such as the compressive yield stress, ultimate stress and modulus of elasticity
• Cylinder Testing – identifies how strong or weak each cylinder is in terms of the amount of pressure it can withstand
• Permeability Experiments – determines how much water vapor can pass through a specified material in a certain amount of time
• Gradation Tests – done on soils and aggregates on roads, sidewalks and bridges in order to determine if soil grades were correct
• Provided research and support for revising the 26th and 27th edition of the ASTM (ASHTO) book and manual
• Conducted research on Pavement Preservation
