B2 Production Support: Created an IT Production Support vehicle for an enterprise-wide (coast to coast and off-shore) claim processing product.
• Developed and implemented an IT production support process, establishing a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all product issues and enhancements.

Colorado/Nevada CSI Conversion: Converted mainframe and midrange adjudication processes from legacy system to a different mainframe system.

• Selected for the Technical Advisory Group (TAG) meetings as an Advisor for Wellpoint Inc with extensive knowledge of legacy systems procedures and how procedures are integrated with the operations’ needs.

• Designed SPOC for all table base changes that affect BCBSA National transactions Create process for logging and tracking calls using MS Office Suite of tools.
• Established lines of communication with operations to set up test cases and implement. Produced test cases that were directly related to each requirement from each operations area affected by the change.
• Executed CHGMAN process for all tablebase changes. This included modification of jcl, editing, auditing, scheduling, promotion of change, testing, freezing and implementation.
• Implemented new efficient process by which tablebase changes were promoted to a production environment with no operations down time.
Technical Project Manager (2001-2004)
Managed implementation of Health Insurance Software Releases. Coordinated mainframe, HP, server based process, operations and association resources.
• Lead Project Teams for all BCBSA Releases 8.4 through 9.4. Used MS Project, Work Break Down Structure processes, Risk Analysis, and other project management and analytical tools to appropriately allocate resource, time, and budget to a successful end.
• Managed “IntelliClaim†editing software into the AMISYS system. This required negotiation of resources from proprietary software owners, in house process SME’s, operations stakeholders and executive sponsors.
• Drove implementation of Colorado and Nevada portion of the Unique ID program. This was an enterprise program that required utilization of Third Party software, created a unique ID (UID). This UID would need to integrate with legacy systems that previously used the Social Security Number as a primary method in member identification. Confidentaility of member data was greatly enhanced by using this UID System.
Business Systems Analyst (1999-2002)
Designed integration of the McKesson/HBOC (AMISYS) claim adjudication software to interface with the BCBSA ITS software for the adjudication of Colorado, Nevada and New Mexico claims for both Host and Home processing.
• Performed Analysis, System Design Document, Functional Design Document and implementation of the ITS Releases 8.1 through 9.4.
• Provided production Support for ITS including break/fix analysis for ITS, AMISYS, WGS and MSCPS. Maintained the master design documents for all systems.
