• Provided mechanical and electrical systems specifications used by CSI trades skilled workers to execute work performance on LCS-1. The mechanical and electrical system information were interpreted from drawing packages supplied by the sub-prime design group Gibbs and Cox and approved by the prime Lockheed Martin and SUPSHIP 501. 4E specifications were written conforming to the JFMM. All 4E specifications specifically detail the work which will be accomplish and identify conforming Federal standard items that must be accomplished during various phases of rip-out, fabrication, installation and testing.

• Directed the $18M contract for "Hotel Services" involving the planning, handling, processing and restoral of 200,000 gallons of water used in ship's nuclear reactor system (8 plants) of the USS Enterprise (CVN 65.
• Ensured safety and integrity of the processing of highly contaminated water using 8000 gallon tanks for its storage, transfer, purification and replenishment. Completed project ahead of schedule and $750K under budget.
• Promoted to GS-13 in Dec 1999 for sustained superior performance and leadership acumen.
• Initially assigned as Tow Coordinator (Project Manager) for the $20M refurbishment project of the MTS 626 Daniel Webster nuclear training submarine (2/99-8/01). Coordinated round trip towing between Naval Station Charleston, SC and Norfolk VA with subsequent approval by NAVSEA 08of 248 distinct line items (equipment systems), all work of a non-nuclear nature.

Ship Refueling Engineer (Nuclear) (GS-12) (1997-1999)
• Volunteered to train for qualification as a Ship Refueling Engineer and assigned to the Defueling Project of the USS South Carolina (CGN 37) for its decommissioning. Managed all phases of the demolition and '"render safe and secure" of the nuclear power plant onboard a Virginia Class cruiser.
Nuclear Lead Engineer (GS-12) (1989-1997)
• (1994-1997) Assigned as Lead Engineer for the shipyard's Nuclear Defueling Facility (Drydock #3). including oversight and direction of 15 staff in the design, construction and installation of various portable nuclear refueling enclosures and support systems. Coordinated extensively with the Repair Officer In Charge (ROIC) and the Contract Compliance Office.
• (1992-1994) Led a team of six design engineers in the development of plans for a specialty barge used to provide chemical cleaning of shipboard steam generators. Coordinated between the shipyard and Newport News Shipbuilding as a cooperative effort for the Navy including specifications and selection of myriad pumps, slurry systems and associated calculations.
• (1989-1992) Initially assigned as Engineering Team Leader of 4-6 staff handling temporary services in support of nuclear refueling/defueling operations. Managed the temporary refueling of the USS South Carolina (CGN 37) including temporary electrical supply, inert gasses (welding), Nitrogen (purge), HVAC, cool breathing air, low/high pressure air, etc.
Nuclear Engineer (GS-5/7/9/11) (1985-1989)
• Served as Design Engineer for support facilities and service systems for the shipyard's Nuclear Refueling Facility (DD-4 / NRF).
