Crew Chief and Senior Control Tower Operator and Radar Approach Controller at Marine Corps air station, Beaufort, SC. FAA tested and qualified to run the control tower at this major jet base for 18 months prior to deployment to Viet Nam. Trained control tower operators, supervised and worked as Senior Control Tower Operator at the busiest airfield “in countryâ€. Held high Security clearance and responsible for airbase security and all within control zone. Worked with all Navy and Marine Corps aircraft with special emphasis on rotary wing aircraft during combat operations in Viet Nam. Subsequently was meritoriously promoted to Sergeant.
• Acquired extensive product liability experience in over 30 years of successful litigation. Achieved successful resolution of complex injury matters applying unique vision and creative solutions to difficult liability cases. Accomplishments grounded upon special expertise in burn and electrocution cases, extensive accident reconstruction, sensory loss, orthopedic and crush injury, juvenile and adult traumatic brain injuries. Located, selected, interfaced with, supervised and prepared doctors, engineers, burn specialists, and other expert witnesses for pretrial and trial activities. Successfully defended Chairman of Medical Peer Review Committee of major midwestern hospital in high profile legal action brought in Federal District court in Madison, WI. Drafted and favorably argued appeal of same in this now published 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, Chicago, IL, decision.
• Counseled and defended General Electric (G.E.) Capital, 17 years, 12th largest company in the world. Directed risk management resulting in recouping costs and collaborated with captive insurer to gain financial support for claims. Facilitated use of expert witnesses to aid in the protection and reduction of exposure to clients. Initiated multiple claims on behalf of individuals against major automobile manufacturers to bring about replacement of defective new high-end vehicles. Developed business action plan for various owners of multiple auto dealerships culminating in significant operational savings. Represented and counseled major southern California developer for 5 years. Successfully represented and defended 2 oil brokers, protecting business and personal interests over a period of decades.
• Handled over 150 drunk driving matters, 2 murder cases, and multiple other high-profile felony matters, resulting in trial or negotiated pleas.
