OBJECTIVES
To obtain a challenging electrical engineering position that allows me to use my skills and knowledge to grow on a personal and professional level.
Educational Projects:
• Transformers project at Eli Lilly Pharmaceuticals, Guayama P.R.
o Identification of a substation and main breaker in an electrical blueprint of a pharmaceutical facility.
• Research of Energy Control Center, Guaynabo P.R
o Member of a group of students that was assigned to present a report based on Energy Control Center facilities. The report included the Energy Control Center subject and the information was: generation, energy, distribution and transmission lines in Puerto Rico.
• Renewable Energy Project, Polytechnic University, Hato Rey P.R
o Solar energy system project for the polytechnic University student parking building. Different calculations were made to know which type of system would be used. The project presents energy and economic savings to the institution.
• Calibration improvement project at Baxter HealthCare, Guayama P.R.
o Developed improvements to the calibration process. These improvements were made by completing different types of objectives. The result was beneficial for the Technical Service Department.
Academic Honors and Awards:
• Member of the Students Honor Program (2003)
EXPERIENCE
Internship
Baxter HealthCare, Guayama, P.R. - March 2009- May 2009
Improvements to the calibration process. These improvements were made by dispersing the tasks of the calibration and maintenance per month. Dispersing the tasks of the calibration and maintenance by category. Grouping and to readjusting the calibration and maintenance by importance of equipment. Evaluating the changes of the frequency of the calibration and their impact on the service load monthly, quarterly, semester and annually. Recommending the monthly balance of the amount of work of the present program. Graphing the data of the previous tasks and prepare a presentation. Analysis of performance of the Actuate Valves that form part of the Carbenes (tanks) System. Presented/displayed an action plan to evaluate the operation of the actuator valves related to the process of the Carbene. Surveyed instrumentalists to identify different types of problems that a valve of this type can have. Identifying actuators valves that can affect the electronic report of the Carbene (tank). Evaluate the possibility to predict the faults. Recommendations to prevent the problem: change the old limit switch for a new. Calibration of product columns and instruments related to product reactors. These types of calibrations were made to RTD and valves. If the percentage of these RDT and valves is above or below 2%, automatically, calibration needs to be performed to these types of instruments. To resolve this type of problem the RDT is put in a machine called bathroom to acquire the desired temperature for the RDT. The purpose is to calibrate the instrument by temperature simulating that is in a product column or Carbene.
Internship
IPR Pharmaceuticals, Guayama, P.R - January 2002- April 2002
Verified and corrected drawings of Pharmaceutical plant in AutoCAD. The verifications and corrections of the drawings consisted of building expansion in the pharmacists area. Also, verified that all the drawings were validated. Plotted the plans with their respective corrections. Reorganized archives and plans. Learned how to read pharmaceutical plant electrical drawings.
