I am currently seeking employment for a design/sales position, I am an individual who is capable, well-rounded, and effective at handling a multi-facetted job description. With my background in marketing, selling, designing, drafting, and managing design projects, as well as hands-on solar panel installation experience, I feel I can make a significant contribution to a quality company.
For the past fifteen years I have worked as a Project Manager in the architectural and design field, with experience in commercial tenant finish, core and shell building systems and residential design. I have wanted to make the transition from architecture into sales in the architectural marketplace and have been researching the alternative energy industry. In fact I was fortunate earlier this year to have been offered a position with a start up company in the field. The experience allowed me to be a part of a Ropatech Wind Turbine installation here in Colorado. I also attended a 9-day training program with Green and Clean in Guelph, Canada where I trained in several solar systems as well as other alternative energy solutions. I was also an active participant in a 2-day Solyndra Solar sponsored course in which we actually designed and installed a system on site in Canada.
Unfortunately the startup company I mentioned never took off due to lack of a solid business plan. Needless to say, this was a big disappointment as I was excited about what I had learned and was looking forward to my role in sales, design and installation. However, my interest and pursuit of a similar position in the industry with a solid and successful firm is ongoing.
