Responsibilities included the Senior Administration of the Facilities & Engineering Services; Design and Construction, Food and Nutrition, Materials Management, Housekeeping, Biomedical, Real Estate, Safety and Environment of Care programs. Responsible for the development and implementation of the hospital Strategic Master Facility Plan of $80M. Reported directly to the COO with an operating budget of $25M and Contract Management PL responsibilities of $10M with capital project responsibilities in excess of $10M, total square footage of facility is 1.5M not including offsite medical facilities. Worked closely with Senior Level management, Physicians and New Jersey Bergen County Improvement Authority to support the Hospitals Mission and Goals. Additional responsibilities included the oversight of the Engineering department at Exeter Hospital located in Hew Hampshire. Overall responsible for client relations, P&L contract agreements and Quality programs for Engineering / Facilities departments. Negotiate leases and monitoring of real estate contracts and contract compliance.

Administration responsibilities include but not limited to the management and oversight of the Engineering, Housekeeping, Laundry, Patient Transport Internal / External, Clinical and Biomedical Engineering and the Design & Construction department. A total of 6 reporting Directors and 151 FTE’s. Managed $1.5 MM dollars in Energy Costs. Develop Business strategies and cross horizontal sales within Hospital. P&L Responsibilities of $8+ MM managed volume. Responsibility for Space Planning Projects and Department Moves within the Hospital. Provided Work Scope and Cost Estimating for Construction Projects to Administration for all in-house construction. Participated with Senior Hospital Administration on a “Master Facility Plan Project Team†which included developing business lines, clinical programming, and marketing strategy. Provided Sales support to Sodexho Sales Team for new business in the Northeast and Canada. Implemented an integrated customer service culture model while adding state of the art software SRS, a Central Point of Contact call center.
Participated with Senior Administration on Hospital committees for development of Patient Focus Care service delivery model. Achieved targeted annual cost savings for the Hospital of $125,000 pr year through purchase services. Implementation of $18.5 MM power plant renovation with an annual utility & operational savings of $ 225,000 pr. year for an 8 year ROI.
