I am a newly graduated Nuclear Engineer with 5 years of experience in managing storage of spent nuclear fuel looking for new opportunities.
EXPERIENCE
Engineer of Radiological Work, Bechtel Bettis, Inc Idaho Falls, Idaho
Nov 2005 - Present
I am qualified Engineer of Radiological Work (ERW), Engineer of Environmental Work (EEW) and Primary Authorizing Employee (PAE) for lock-out/tag-out system in place at Naval Reactor Facility. As a qualified ERW and EEW, I am responsible that all work performed is in compliance with manuals and regulations of Corporate Nuclear Power Manual (CNPM), Nuclear Reactor Safety Manual (NRSM), and Administrative Refueling Instructions (RIAs). These manuals provide regulations of personnel allowed exposure, regulations for criticality safety, and management of radiological waste. I have managed projects of transferring fuel from M130 and M140 containers to Expended Core Facility (ECF) in such manner that the NEC and NRC will allow the Navy's fuel to be transported and stored at Yucca Mountain Repository.
