As the VP Operations the extent of my responsibilities includes full time project management of all construction contracts. INC initially secured as a construction manager, managing projects for contracts in Maryland, N.Y. and South Carolina totaling $21mm. In 1990 became a project executive where I performed all facets of construction management from the bid stages through completion. Was responsible to secure and maintain profit margins for all projects, which resulted in profit ranges of 9.2% to 18.3% overall. In 1994 was promoted to SR. Project Executive whereby multiple projects, project managers and team personnel were under my direction with over (30) personnel under my management with work volume averaging between $50mm to $75mm. While with WICKHAM CONTRACTING CO. INC I was secured to take a solely Electrical/Mechanical subcontractor, with an annual volume of $750K and re-organize and implement the transition into an active General Contractor. Within (4) years developed and established the GC division with an annual volume of over $22mm. All aspects of required construction tasks were under my control as well as interfacing the new construction staff with the present Electrical and Mechanical divisions of the company. TURNER CONSTRUCTION COMPANY hired me after 2 years at Bradley University. I was initially secured as a field engineer. Was responsible for all-exterior and interior lines and grades for all contractors. Participated in Turner’s training program for 2 years whereby I became Assistant to the General Supt. Initiated the development of project cost management techniques, correlated scheduling and established, time studies to manage field labor productivity while assisting in the supervision of all trades and contractors. In 1973 became Arch Superintendent of Burke Hospital ($10mm. 73). Was involved with other projects ranging from $5mm to $45mm in the 70's. Promoted to Super and later Construction manager, which increased my company responsibility in the supervision and management of employees, subcontractors and other personnel under my control.
