I have an entrepreneurial spirit, and engineering background with a strong desire to learn and train especially in new areas including Executive Management and Project Management or Engineering. I have had extensive Construction Cost Estimating Experience in various industries including, Government Proposal development, Commercial Proposal Development and Consulting/Expert Report Support. I have had formal training in Construction Estimating and Contractual Management and a team motivated participant with the ambition to get things done even on a very short timeline. In addition to cost estimating I have very extensive Excel experience and some MS Project and Primavera Experience with Sage (a Construction Consulting Firm) providing support for Arbitration, Expert Reports and Construction Loan Monitoring for Commercial Lenders. I have created various reports detailing cost breakdowns, margins, and assumptions consume a large portion of my current job description. I have experience with managing Subcontracts and Creating Agreements for them during Proposal Development Periods. I also provide contractual and accounting advice during the Proposal Development Process and generally write into a Section of the Proposal as well. During the life of a contract I manage and observe the costs and contractual requirements. I have had experience using published and accredited resources or have made recommendations for such as needed during the research phase of the pricing and make recommendations to improve processes.
In 2005 I started and co--own a real estate rental property company, BSquared Properties, LLC and am responsible for day-to-day concerns including accounting and book-keeping, tenant communication and maintenance, keeping up-to-date with legal requirements, tax filing and financing needs.
Additionally, in 2007, I co-started a company, Sell More Media (.com) with the mission to provide affordable and Professional custom CDs and DVDs to new artists and local companies, clients have included OfficeMax.
I enjoy utilizing software and software programming such as Visual Basic, Engineering CAD Programs, utilizing Microsoft macros and Databaes as well as other programming such as C++ to be very beneficial by increasing the efficiency of certain parts of my job as well as creating new opportunities for me to learn new software languages and developing other skills that may be beneficial in many different ways.
I feel that my my background filled with cost estimating, various aspects of business finance, customer service and sales experience from and Problem Solving skills would be a substantial asset in this role.
