Thank you for this opportunity to present my resume. My educational background consists of a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with disciplines concentrated in both Power and Controls, and Minors in Applied Mathematics and Physics. Upon graduation I passed the Engineer In Training (EIT) exam looking forward to becoming a Professional Engineer (PE). Continuing my education, I have furthered my knowledge in the areas of Grounding and Shielding Techniques, Building Construction, and Electrical Codes. My past work experience has provided me the opportunity to work with AutoCAD Electrical, Ethernet Communications, Wireless communication devices, Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Automation: 1756 ControlLogix, 1768 and 1769 CompactLogix, and 1763 MicroLogix 1100, PanelView +1000, FactoryTalk View, RSView Studio SE and ME, and WonderWare.
My most recent work for Bevcorp, compliments my work experience with Drake Mfg. and Moeller Electric. These positions have given me hands-on experience in prototype design, building, and programming of industrial equipment. I have seasoned drafting abilities with the use of AutoCAD Electrical. My work has given me the opportunities to design power and control schematics, layout panel drawings, program ladders and macro executables, and custom machinery applications. Technical writing skills allow me to provide customers with clear and familiar menus and manuals. In conjunction with Safety Lockout Systems, I assisted Proctor & Gamble using Klockner Moeller Arc Flash EasyPower software. I have also provided technical support and supervision during a contract position with the General Motors Corporation.
Upon graduating from the University of Akron with my Electrical Engineering degree, I accepted a position with a company called then American Gas Association Laboratories. My work here involved the testing and inspection of all gas appliances and work on the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) committee meetings.
I would appreciate your consideration for an Electrical Controls Engineer position that may be available. Thank you for your consideration and I hope to hear from you soon.
Sincerely,
John J. Pietras
