Based on site the Project was behind schedule. I restructured the resources and implemented a recovery programme in turn with contractual issues that had risen (fedic) based, which resulted in the project being completed within the required timescale and budget.
I was heavily involved in the restructuring of the project in terms of planning (recovery plan), resolving Client and Municipality and Governmental issues. Resources relocation and Interfacing between Vendors and sub-contractors. This also included the cost control and risk management to bring project to successful conclusion

2-40 story Towers one residential one Hotel . Overall Construction management of this first class hotel. Involved from the client negotiations and expectations to completion . Involve in the implementation of the programme , Tenders and adjudication. Day to day administrative duties to ensure compliance and progamme were met. Resolving of design issues and change management.Also included cost control ,risk management.

As Operations Manager: I was involved in the overall Al Habtoor-Leighton Corporate operations and administration overlooking numerous Projects that were in the tendering stages as well as those under construction. This involved attending numerous Client meetings, ensuring manpower and budget requirements were being met. Also insured the implementation and administrative requirements were met by the various Projects. In addition to these administrative duties I was involved in establishing new corporate policies and procedures after the merger with the Leighton group. This was an ongoing process that lasted until my departure from Al Habtoor- Leighton’s.

As this was the first project in South Africa by Kvearner Pulping I was involved in the implementation of the project from the Site establishment to the hand-over. My involvement included but not limited to:
• Overall Site establishment.
• Construction programme in conjunction with the offshore design office as well as the master programme as required by the Client.
• Management of resources, progress to within time frame and budget.
• Construction progress reporting to both Management and Client.
• Setting up and monitoring of the commissioning programme
