• This class specifically addresses new reactor licensing requirements referenced in 10-CRF-Part 52’s Construction Program Framework. Specific objectives of the class included study in the pre-construction and construction engineering activities for new nuclear power plants. Also covered in the class were modules on nuclear power economics as well as existing and approved nuclear reactor design and operation
Mechanical Vibrations Project, Ski Impact Vibrations
Fall 2009
• Analyzed impact vibrations on alpine ski, made adjustments to stiffness and other factors, and wrote report with recommendations for improved vibrational performance.

• Designed a household photovoltaic system connected to the grid that would support 50% of its yearly kW/hr, analyzed economics, and the carbon footprint reduction.
