My experience includes eighteen years of continuous employment in all phases of management for project related companies. I began after graduating college filling sandbags in training for an environmental company and advanced to field management within my first twelve months and was moved into the estimating office at the end of two years. I went through a merger with that corporation. From that point I have been employed in leadership roles for no less than five years at a time. I was born for this.
Experience
Jerone Bearden Concrete May 2005 - March 2010
Jerone was one of my favorite subcontractors when I was working for HPH Associates, Inc. He finally, in 2005, made good on his promise to one day make me an offer I couldn’t refuse.

About a month before the end Jerone came to me and asked if I could help him generate some bid activity. I found the Texas State Veterans Home on line at ESBD.Org and located the plans at I-Square foot. I put together a cost estimate for that project and sat with Jerone to set price. I established report with MW Builders, Inc. They now have the project. When we set price I knew he was high and told him as much. We missed that work, but the opportunity was provided per request. I also found opportunity with Charter-Heery of Dallas, Texas to bid Palestine ISD. Three schools totaling $3.5 mil. Same results. I am now seeking employment elsewhere, but feel the five years were profitable for both. He is now a reference for me. His company has downsized by half on his decisions that the market would turn before completion of these large low price jobs.
HPH Associates, Inc. September 1996 - May 2005
I moved to the Tyler area and sought a career in Project Management for a General Contractor. I negotiated that with HPH Associates, Inc. It was an opportunity I will always be grateful for.

My last project was Central Baptist Church, Orange, Texas sanctuary. I set the budget. I Set a bid closing date. I worked the yellow pages from my office in Tyler and set up appointments in the parking lot in Orange to distribute 30 sets of plans to local subcontractors. I took resumes online for superintendents and came to an agreement with the Pastor who would be the superintendent. The structure was wood frame, +/- 10,000 sf classrooms and sanctuary of architectural GLU-LAM with T&G ceiling deck. I evaluated bids with the church and wrote the contracts. We contracted under budget, and completed under budget and time allotment. Charles Hanna (the first H in HPH) is now retired. I love that guy.
