• Directly responsible for the accounting and administrative activities of the largest division within Kimball Hill for which we delivered 700-900 homes annually (over $150 million in revenues). This included internal control, monitoring inventory levels, review and analysis of job cost data, exposure to warranty obligations, impairment reviews, revenue recognition for home and land sales, analysis of land acquisitions, timely and accurate land development budgets, accounts payable function, employee payroll, SOX compliance, sales tax audits, journal entries, special projects, analysis and variance explanations of the Income Statement and Balance Sheet, preparation and analysis of quarterly cash flow and unit activity forecasts and the preparation and presentation of the annual business plan
• Direct reports consisted of the Community Development Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounts Payable Manager and Sr. Project Coordinator Manager. They supervised a staff of approximately 10 associates
• Reduced overhead and increased efficiency through streamlining the accounts payable process in addition to improved accuracy and reduced closing cycle time by implementing more efficient closing procedures
