Project Specific Experience
Smart Curb Project Manager, Landside Expansion, San Diego International Airport, San Diego, CA, $250 million, 2009-2010: Project Architect, LEED Coordinator, URS has been providing Architectural, Structural and MEP Engineering Services to Kiewit-Sundt Joint Venture for the design-build project delivery of a 372,000 square foot ground transit and automated flight departure services building. The scope includes the largest USO hospitality facility in the United States as well as the integration of airport communication, flight information and baggage handling systems. Building information modeling managed by URS will incorporate all design services into a three dimensional model to be used for design, visualization, documentation, estimating, scheduling and constructability analysis.
Project Manager, Project Title, County of Los Angeles Hubert H. Humphrey Health Clinic, Los Angeles, CA, $500,000, 2009-2010: Project Manager, URS has been providing Architectural, Structural and MEP Engineering Services to the County of Los Angeles Public Works Department. Project scope includes first floor lobby extension including the skylight, cafeteria interior finish upgrade, urgent care remodel, second floor waiting area, parking and path of travel upgrades, toilet room upgrades to meet 2007 CBC Accessible Standards, HVAC systems evaluation and new design to meet the specific heating and cooling needs, and new signage and way finding concept design. This project is being completed using Revit Architecture.
Project Manager, Yvonne B. Burke Driving Range, County of Los Angeles, Los Angeles, CA, $5,000,000, 2009-2010: Project Manager, URS has been providing Architectural and Engineering services for the development of the eastern parcel which includes construction of a driving range, extending 275 to 300 yards. The scope includes one level golf structure for 22 tees, which allows addition of another level for a total of 44 tees. The driving range requires protective netting and/or fencing. A Putting green will also be constructed on this parcel. A batting cage facility containing five separate batting cages will be designed and constructed and will allow for the expansion of 10 batting cages. This facility will be screened with landscaping and a ten foot high noise wall along the southern perimeter of the parcel. This project is being completed using Revit Architecture.
