Senior Structural Engineer - Station and Facilities Structures
Supported structural design activities associated with the stations & facilities of the Dulles Corridor Metro rail Project-Metro Rail Extension to Wiehle Avenue, the $1.2 billion new construction project of five metro stations.
Dulles Corridor Metro Rail Projects, Vienna-Tyson, Virginia:
Prepared engineered design drawings, design and construction specifications, engineering calculations, studies & reports to support design/build project. Monitored and controlled engineering scope, plans, schedules and budgets for assigned work. Participated and incorporated constructability reviews, visited the client, jobsite, and consultant offices to support the projects needs. Coordinated technical day-to-day work of the designers, drafters & other discipline engineers within their respective groups
Maintained technical quality of work including, compliance with project design criteria, project procedures, relevant corporate standards (WMATA, MWAA) and local codes (VAUSBC) and regulations (VADOT, AASHTO).

Major Projects:
Woodrow Wilson Bridge Replacement, Alexandria, Virginia: Provided design management, construction management, and project control for the $2.4 billion replacement of a six-lane bridge on the Capital Beltway. Responsibilities included design-construction coordination; cost and schedule control; support for right-of-way acquisition; maintenance of traffic; community relations and stakeholder involvement; environmental assessment and permitting; intelligent transportation system technology; congestion management; partnering; field inspection and quantity surveying; material testing; documentation control; and full-service construction management. Provided technical and structural design expertise on the ongoing building structural repairs. Specifying structural repairs and constructions techniques in accordance with the latest design and construction Code requirements applicable to the project.
