Responsible for the $215M direct material spend and all performance aspects of the site’s 320 external suppliers, from cost out, on-time delivery, quality, and inventory. Lead 24 direct and 14 indirect sourcing and procurement professionals in Torrance, Mexicali, and Puerto Rico. Recruit, develop and retain top talent. Spearhead and execute strategies for “past due” burn-down, on-hand inventory reductions, dual source strategies, and risk mitigation.
• Successfully transitioned to one of the most complex low volume/high mix manufacturing environments in all of industry…from commercial and military aircraft to space station accessories.
• Serve on Site Steering Committee and Executive Staff. Develop plans and execute on the strategic vision set by corporate leadership…from implementing the Honeywell Operating System (HOS), to reducing customer past dues and inventories. Record performance across all measureable metrics for 2009.
• Immediately initiated an aggressive supplier “past due” burn down plan to relieve stranded inventory and missed revenue, Drove PD dollars down from $6.4M to under $500K in 7 months; reduced on hand inventory by over 30% while freeing up over $25M of revenue producing product. Site ranked #1 of 23 aerospace sites for OTTR Performance.
• Delivered over $37M in inventory reductions by mitigating “excess on order” material due to slowing economy and customer cancellations.
• Rebuilt the morale of the Sourcing and Purchasing team…took the job no one in Honeywell would take. Team and site recognized as one of Honeywell’s “most improved” for 2009.
New Products Sourcing Leader, concurrent assignment (May 2009 – current)
Oversee all aspects of New Product Sourcing across multiple programs: Joint Strike Fighter (JSF), oil cooling & environmental systems; Boeing, nitrogen generating systems; Airbus, A350 heat exchanger and environmental

• Spearheaded reduction of direct material suppliers from 500 to 220 in less than 2 years while consistently improving service levels (98%+), fill rates, and quality.
• Co-led an extensive China/Asia supply chain initiative during the closure of 5 domestic lockset and faucet manufacturing plants, from 2002- 2005…lowered inventories by 25% while improving service levels, at both Home Depot and Lowes.
• Continually scrubbed supply base and total spend for consolidation and cost out opportunities. Drove a cross-functional “value engineering” initiative…now a “best practice” program. In 2002/3 delivered over $28M in material cost out.
