My name is Eric Stephan Foss and my objective is to obtain a new position where I may contribute my experience, abilities and personality in a setting that will be not only professionally challenging but socially collaborative. I would welcome an opening to work in a capacity that would benefit a firm’s both short and long terms goals and allow me the opportunity to grow in the profession personally. My own goals are to obtain my professional license in the short term as well as LEED Certification, and to develop and enjoy a stable long term relationship with my new firm and its local environs.
I am a graduate of New York Institute of Technology with a 5 year Bachelor of Architecture degree and have over 15 years of professional architectural experience. Originally from New York City, I have lived in Pinellas County now since early in 2001 and do so currently. My primary areas of concentration in my career have been Corporate & Commercial Interiors as well as Assisted Living, Senior Housing, Skilled Nursing and similarly related Healthcare projects. I have over 15 years experience utilizing AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel & Project Manager programs and various others that facilitate management and presentation. I enjoy drafting & design as well as the management of projects, start to finish. My most prominent characteristic is that of a careful & conscientious planner, detailer and draftsman in construction document development and project management. I take pride in my work and satisfaction from a well executed set of documents and elegantly produced finished project. I feel I possess a good sense of humor and would work well with a team or alone. I have served as lead designer & project architect for most of my most recent endeavors over the past 10 years specifically and have enjoyed a wide range of personal duties in my offices. I have primarily been associated with smaller firms where I have taken on many of the tasks required in the development & completion of a project as well as general administrative assignments in which the scope of work has ranged from very high end full floor build outs to basic tenant improvement modifications.
I would of course prefer to remain in the Tampa Bay area for extended family considerations, and would appreciate the chance to be reviewed for the right opening. Although I maintain significant friendships and continued temporary/contract oriented association currently with previous firms I’ve been with, the amount of available work has prohibited my full time employment. However I would certainly consider several as valuable references of which I would gladly offer in regard of my character & abilities.
I have a portfolio of recent projects and the collegiate designs I won my architectural grant for and could provide several references from former employers stating my credentials and skills, both social & technical that would benefit any position. It is my firm belief that if I were to be granted an interview for a position, that I would be an extremely valuable asset to a firm.
