SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Brought project costs in line with budget by tireless negations. OptiSolar needed to build a 69 KV substation for a major utility, but all proposals exceeded budget. Met with Project Managers and contractors, and introduced Value Engineering concepts. After second round of bids, negotiated with low bidder to deliver $750K below budget.
Adapted design from earlier project in place of over-priced proposal. A Centex Homes project manager was required to install a special perimeter fence around a subdivision to prevent wild animal incursion, but proposed design was over-engineered and expensive. Proposed alternative design and obtained approval, saving $250K.
Selecting right mix of contractors to complete complex project on compressed schedule. Communities Southwest was constructing a mixed-use site, including a commercial site and 18 hole Golf Course. Required major infrastructure and arterial improvements, including the largest Drainage improvements ever done by a Developer in the County. The schedule was tight. Carefully selected and coordinated contractors to complete entire project on time and within budget.
Promoted company brand and market presence, driving revenue. Western Structures was a small company that struggled with cramped, inadequate facilities and was little known in the local market. Promoted the company in the community, procured larger site and improved facilities, expanding business revenues 63% monthly.
