HISTORICAL
CSS Neuse, Kinston, NC.
Project Manager for moving the CSS Neuse, a Confederate iron-clad gunboat, from riverside in Caswell State Park to present location. Moving the vessel required first extensive archaeological survey to be conducted by trained nautical archaeologist. The vessel was then dismantled into three pieces, moved, and reassembled within its new building, also built under this contract. The vessel was then re-surveyed to ensure precise re-alignment that was completed to within .001” of original positioning. Value $1m.
