Independently performs and supervises employees on locating and tapping main lines, setting up system routes, placing and cutting route openings, placing hangers for proper level and slope, and determining and installing valves, traps, and unions as needed for proper operation of a variety of systems and equipment. Determines tools, parts, equipment and supplies needed, including proper types, sizes and materials.
Ability to layout and plan angels, arcs, and circles, uses trade methods and techniques such as wiping and pipe-bending, pouring lead joints, installing combinations of couplings, unions and joints. Experienced in the coordination and time-line of different trades working on the same project.
Independently performs and supervises employees in use and maintenance of all commercial plumbing hand tools and basic power tools including pipe threader, tapes, rules, plumb bobs, cutters, pipe wrenches, angle drills, sewer cleaning equipment, gas detectors
