Mr. Taylor has been in the Construction Industry in the San Diego area for the last 26 yrs. at the position of Project Superintendent for the various General Contractors listed below. All projects were completed on time, at or below budget, with minimal punchlist and warranty call-backs. Mr. Taylor is a motivated, self starter, works well with others, while maintaining the focus on project completion and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
• Provide on-site management for all field related activities.
• Supervise construction efforts to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with design, specifications, budget and schedule.
• Interface with client representatives, A/E representatives, other contractors, etc. Attend Owner’s meetings and prepare schedule update and other pertinent information relative to the timely completion of the project.
• Responsible for the Project Schedule, original development, periodic updates, and distribution to concerned parties. Proficient in Suretrack and P3.
• Supervise subcontractors and/or interface with other contractors as required.
• Provide technical assistance, i.e. interpret drawings, advise construction methods and equipment, etc., as needed.
• Ensure all on-site personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, etc. Document all violations and recommend/implement corrective actions as required.
• Responsible for cost control, quality control, adherence to schedule and project performance for the duration of the job.
• Responsible for implementing and maintaining S.W.P.P.P. requirements as designed by the Civil Engineer.
• Responsible for Leed requirements as they pertain to daily work functions related to the project i.e. trash & debris separation and recycling.

2 yrs. Jr. College, Southwestern College, Chula Vista.

Instructed at Associated Builders & Contractors apprenticeship program.

Scheduling Standards Committee. Co-authored the project scheduling standards, company wide policy for project schedule creation, implementation, updates, delay tracking, and close-out.
LEAN Building Committee. Original committee member, formed to incorporate “The Toyota Way” as it applies to construction. (LEAN Construction)
LEED / Green Building Committee. A founding member of the committee and author of the “Weekly Green Newsletter”.

Responsibilities: finished the job following PCC. Lead Super was sent to another project, took over team and completed shell, core, site and parking structure as lead Super on a 5 man team. Challenges: Assuming an existing project, maintaining momentum and rebuilding team camaraderie. LEED Silver Building.

350,000-sf, 3-story office/manufacturing shell & core building, tilt up exterior with steel column and open web joists and girders structural steel interior, including a 3-story parking structure on a 7 acre site. Responsibilities, Lead Superintendent on a 4 man team. Challenges: compressed schedule with different G.C. in charge of the TI’s. 10 months from start to TCO.
