· Greater than two years of experience on a Seawolf class submarine to include: operation, maintenance, and preservation of main propulsion, main and auxiliary steam systems, reduction gears, propellers and shafting, nuclear level systems, subsafe systems, refrigeration systems, distilling systems, various pumps to include; (volute, impeller, centrifugal, gear type, and duplex), 3 phase AC motors, DC motors, and associated equipment.
· Experienced in quality assurance, and the ALARA program
HIGHLIGHT OF QUALIFICATIONS
Engine Room Supervisor; directly involved with all major evolutions and supervises all watch stations in the machinery spaces on a nuclear submarine.
Craftsman; allowed to perform all maintenance items on any level system while actively adhering to the quality assurance program.
Experienced in operation and performing nuclear and subsafe level maintenance on mechanical systems for submarine propulsion.
Trained in construction, design, and mechanical theories related to pumps and piping to include: metallurgies, system losses, corrosion, heat transfer and fluid flow, and allowable stresses.
Trained in the use of schematics to determine specifications and design.
Trained as a Nuclear Marine Mechanic in the U.S. Navy.
Proficient with windows XP and Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Secret clearance effective 2005.
