Objective;
To continue and further promote my career in the construction industry.
Qualifications;
I have been a bridge foreman for a large construction company for 12 years. Prior to making foreman I was a skilled laborer, worked my way up to carpenter, then became lead carpenter. I have managed bridge crews from 5-15 persons. Also have managed crews on box culvert's, headwall's, retaining wall's, pile driving, catch basins, and other related work on highway/concrete construction. I also have experience supervising more than one crew at a time. I have 2 years experience as a foreman on water jobs including working on barges, cofferdams, ring's, air lift, seals, and most other jobs that would be incurred from working in water vs. working on land. I have worked on well over 20 bridges from start to finish. I currently figure and shoot my own grade/elevations. Figure, setup and order my own concrete, and materials that will be needed to complete the job. I can read blueprint's, make decisions, work out problem's, plan day to construction activities, maintain a safe, productive and positive work place. I also have much experience communicating and working with state inspector's, sub contractors, higher supervision and material suppliers. I also have experience with paperwork such as time sheet's, daily journal, accident report's, preparation and planning report's, new hire paperwork and most other paper work associated with this type of construction. I can operate a crane, track hoe, back hoe, front end loader, dozer, hoe ram, and most all equipment associated with this type of construction. I have a lot of experience with sheet piling and H piling, I have drove a lot of H pile on a 4-1 batter also. Have a lot of experience using metal form's, wood form's, snap tie's, all thread and taper tie's. I have an ACI concrete certification in Tennessee, TDEC level 1 certification(Tennessee erosion prevention and sediment control), trenching and excavation competen't person certification, 30 hour OSHA certification, 10 hour OSHA
certification, first aid and CPR certification, crane safety certified. Also I was a certified blaster but my certification was allowed to expire. I have never been convicted of a crime any more serious than a minor traffic offense, so a background check will not be a problem. I also have a fairly clean driving record which should not present any problems with a company’s insurance. I have been in the construction industry for 16 years most of which has been on bridge's and boxes. I am young,(35) and still have a good 25-30 years to make my contribution to a company that will allow me to advance and secure a solid future for us both. I am very dedicated, motivated and dependable as all of my references will attest to. I have no desire to move from company to company. I am looking for a permanent home. I have no problem with travel or relocation. I have been with my current employer for 13 years and feel like I have gone as far as my current supervisor will allow me to go. Therefore I feel that it is time for me to broden my horizons and search for a company that is as interested as I am in securing a position, that will allow me to go as far as my capability's can take me, to better the future for me and the company that I am employed with.
