Estimating, value engineering & Pre-construction on numerous large projects in the Seattle / Bellevue area ranging from 5 million to 108 million in value (Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center - King County Metro parking garages - City of Federal Way, The Commons Development - Lincoln Square, Bellevue, Port of Everett marina renovation, and numerous other projects.
Chief Operating Officer – Reklaim Technologies, Inc. - 2003 to 2009
Co-founder of an investor backed start-up company, employing new leading edge technology in waste management and recovery. Guiding research and design of a process targeted at waste reduction and alternative energy resources.
 Established company as a leader in new alternative energy and waste reduction technology.
 Developed strategic expansion plans for national deployment of new technology with plans to build 20 plants in the continental US, projected total development cost of $1.5 billion. Identified potential future site locations, budgets and created business plan/financial projections.

Set up and operated a new construction company, performing outside preconstruction services, owners representative, consulting and small project contracting. The company became the vehicle for establishing and vetting the viability of the Reklaim business.
Sr. Project Manager/Estimator – Lugo Construction – 1999 to 2001
Started up a new division office for a small Native American owned south end contractor intended to increase overall business opportunities and foster the corporate goal of diversification.
 Provided preconstruction services for outside clients on projects ranging from $2MM to $35MM.
 Performed contracting and management services for several clients on projects in the $2MM range.
 Acted as mentor to younger managers and became the company go to guy for problem solving and completing projects that were experiencing schedule/budget problems.
Sr. Project Manager/Estimator – Ron Construction – 1998 to 1999
Start up of a new division office for a substantial Canadian contractor, intended to increase overall business opportunities in the Seattle area. Closed down the companies Portland office and resolved ongoing disputes.
General Supt – Cosmos Const. and Dev. – 1990 to 1997
Started new construction company for a prominent Seattle area developer who desired to self perform construction activities. Ran all field operations, working closely with PM’s to develop contracts, major purchases, scope definition, schedules, safety program, design and engineering development. Managed all company field operations, on site supervisor on high rise, condominium/mixed use projects in the downtown Seattle/Bellevue area, in excess of $70MM.
General Supt/PM/Estimator – Boecon, Bentex, Koll Const. – 1979to 1989
Managed/Supervised work in Nevada, Arizona, Texas and Washington. Ranging from heavy industrial, site development, commercial office/retail, multifamily residential.
• Mechanical draft cooling tower and support buildings for a coal fired power plant. Completed a Central Arizona Canal Project Pump station projecting a $4MM loss. Reducing actual loss by 60%.
• Set up new division office in Houston, TX constructing 1,500 multifamily residential units.
• Supervised construction of major site developments, industrial parks, office, medical clinics, assisted care retirement, and multifamily residential.
