Thank you for the opportunity to apply within your organization.
I am currently enrolled in Environmental Health and Safety program here at CNM and seeking positions in Energy in Building Conservation and Sustainable Energy alternatives. I’m just shy of my degree and have worked in Construction Management (residential/commercial) for the better part of my career. However, the current job market has forced me to look into the current trends with energy conservation and environmental impacts as an alternative to jobs within the General Construction Industry.
I have completed an internship with Bernalillo County (Risk Management Division) this semester and I am currently carrying a 3.60 GPA. I have certifications in Risk Management, OSHA Regulation, Defensive Driving, Fall Protection, Coax Connections, and now Energy Conservation in Buildings. The highlight of the school year was creating an Excel Workbook that outlines a method by which to easily audit any structure energy wise. I built my first Solar Car from an erector set as a 5th grade science project, so I truly feel that I have found a calling within the current movement of sustainability as I have always had concerns with wasteful methods. My extensive background in construction has been a perfect foundation for learning as well.
Attached, you will find my original cover letter along with work history.
Thank you for your consideration,
Bryan Andrada
