BACKGROUND SUMMARY
Over eleven years of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) control technical and application experience. This experience was in the hydraulic power plant SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) and other automation control systems.
Over 35 years (1970-2006) of hydroelectric professional technology experience in hydropower plant integrative automation and equipment.
Over 29 years (1977-2006) of teaching experience of hydropower plant integrative automation and equipment.
I was a teacher (an associate professor) of Sichuan Electric Vocational Technical Collage in Chengdu, China.
From September 2008 until present I am a network administrator in a hospital in USA.
Able to preside over engineering project management and design SCADA systems, set up variable databases, application software developing, hardware configuration, etc.
Skilled in PLC(of GE Fanuc and MITSUBISHI and OMRON)control system's hardware configuration and software programming and the Fieldbus or network setting up and debugging.

PROFESSIONAL WORK EXPERIENCE
Technology majordomo and an associate professor. (2000-2006).
I was the technology majordomo of the integrative automation system reconstruction (IASR) of the Qingfengling Teaching Hydropower Plant on Wenjinjiang river in Chengdu, Sichuan province, China. The IASR included Hydropower Plant SCADA System, Hydro-turbine governor system, Excitation regulator of synchronous generator system and automation elements, etc. (2005-2006)
I presided over the planning work and the compilation of a series of technology documents for the IASR of Qingfengling Teaching Hydropower Plant.
During this time, I also taught an experiment about “PLC Theory and Application†and “ SCADA System of the Hydropower Plant†for the Hydropower Plant engineering technicians and students.
During 2003-2004, I presided over the planning of the integrative automation system project of the Chaxi Hydropower Plant on Mabian river in Mabian county, Sichuan province in China.
I examined and revised the design of the hydropower plant SCADA system and auxiliary control system of Chaxi Hydropower Plant. After putting into operation, the Chaxi Hydropower Plant SCADA system and other had been proved satisfactory in both quality and performance. (2003-2004)

With Austria Elin Company and GE Fanuc Cooperation, developed new SCADA system for hydropower plant in Sichuan power company.
During this time, I also taught PLC application experiment in laboratory and “SCADA System of the Hydropower Plant†for the engineering technicians and students.
In 2003, I was elected as the director of National Water Conservancy & Hydropower Automatic Curriculum Team by Sichuan Vocational Technical Power College.
Associate professor and the leader of Research and Development of SCADA system, technical director (1996-2000).
In 1996, I was appraised as the college’s Excellent Professional Talent (academic leader) by Sichuan Vocational Technical Power College.
Beginning of 1990s the SCADA system of hydropower plant was immature in China.
I was a group leader of the research & development the SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) system of Qingfengling Teaching Hydropower Plant. The research and development project main content is as follow:
1) Plant grade information supervisory system (i.e. HMI);
2) Local Control Unit (LCU) of hydro-turbine-generator set (supervisory control and data acquisition);
3) Hydro-turbine speed governor system and electricity-hydraulic pressure transform and control device;
4) The communication between HMI and LCU, and between LCU and Hydro-turbine governor system, etc.
I presided over the planning of the research & development project of the Qingfengling teaching power plant;
I presided over the design of the SCADA system of the Qingfengling teaching power plant;
I designed and configurated the LCU system with GE-9030 PLC. I developed the user program of the LCU of hydro-turbine-generator set. The user program include 16 subroutines, for instance: the sequential control program of Operate/ Stopping/ urgent Stopping; the Events Sequential Record (SOE, distinguishability 2 Ms); I/O variables unit demarcate; the active power/ reactive power set value and set point closed-loop control; the Ethernet communication program between HMI and LCU and the SNP serial communications program between LCU and Hydro-turbine governor electrical control panel etc.
I participated in the design of Hydro-turbine governor system and the debugging process. I wanted that the controller of hydro-turbine governor electrical control panel should be homologous series with the LCU’s controller, i.e. it should choose the GE90-30PLC. The design concept was very successful. I compiled the Communications program with SNP Serial protocol to achieve connection dependably between LCU and Hydro-turbine governor electrical control panel, it had no failures at any time. Because the program with SNP Serial protocol is mature and successful, it proved that the above-mentioned design concept is correct. This verified the excellent control of active power/reactive power set digital value and set point closed-loop adjustment and control . This was the first successful practicer in China at that time.
I presided over the inspection and acceptance documents compiled for the research and development of the SCADA system of Qingfengling Teaching Hydropower Plant.
The SCADA system of the Qingfengling teaching power plant had been put into operation in March, 1999. The performance, structure and technical level of the system had reached international standards of 1990s and advanced domestic standard. The SCADA system of the Qingfengling teaching power plant had passed the acceptance inspection by Sichuan Provincial Electric Power Bureau, and was awarded Acceptance Certificate of Scientific & Technological Achievement (1999 Chuandianjipingzi No.16), it also won the first prize for Educational & Teaching Production issued by China Electric Power Enterprise Association in October 2000 (see the Certificate of Merit).

I was a teacher (a lecturer) of Sichuan Electric Vocational Technical Collage in Chengdu, in China. I taught for 29 years (1977-2006) and engaged in the hydroelectric technology jobs for 35 years (1970-2006). I taught the professional basic courses and professional courses about 14 classes which were “Electrotechnics â€, “Electronics Technologyâ€, “Automatic Control Theoryâ€, “Auxiliary Equipment of Hydropower Plantâ€, “Hydropower Plant Automation and Hydro-turbine Regulationâ€, “Automation and Operation of Hydro-Turbine-Generator Setâ€, “PLC Theory and Applicationâ€, “SCADA System for Hydropower Plant†etc.

Teaching Materials, Papers and important work reports
The unified teaching material: Automation and Operation of Water Turbine Generator Set, jointly compiled in 1980 for the Ministry of Hydroelectricity; compiled teaching syllabuses of professional basic courses and specialized courses for the electric power trade of China; recently led the review work of the nationwide unified teaching material Comprehensive Automation of Electric Power System compiled under the organization of the Ministry of Education.
•Led the examination of nationwide unified teaching material Comprehensive Automation of Electric Power System; acted as the chief complier of Class Handouts for Programmable Controller Experiment; compiled the teaching syllabuses on the subjects of Hydropower Plant Computerized Monitoring and Programmable Controller.
•Published the thesis named The Discussion on the Scheme of Computerized Monitoring System in Qingfengling Teaching Hydropower Plant in the Journal of Scientific and Technological Advancement of Water Conservancy & Hydroelectricity of Hehai University (to be precise, in The Collection of Excellent Theses, periodical supplement of the journal, the first issue in 1997). The thesis won the second prize in the 4th Nationwide Appraisal of Theses on Electric Vocational Training in 2000.
In June 1996, presided over the design and jointly compiled the Technical and Practical Scheme of the Computerized Monitoring System in Qingfengling Teaching Hydropower Plant of Chengdu Hydropower School (approximately 40 thousand Chinese characters).
