I was responsible for designing the project lay down area’s, site office lay down area, negotiating property lease agreements, local native hires, apprenticeship requirements. Managing pile drivers, operators, carpenters laborers, surveyors, several sub-contractors, work plans, estimating, daily, weekly, monthly reporting requirements QA/QC. Storm Water Pollution Management, Traffic Control Management. I interfaced constantly with Alaska DOT, Army Corp, Owners, DNR agencies.

Bridge Building Project Value=$38M
Successfully managed a remote bridge building project on the Mackenzie River in the Northwest Territories. This project consisted of a temporary work bridge, 8 sheetpile cofferdams, concrete footings, via tremmie pours, lower and upper concrete buttresses, pier armour (ice breakers), scour rock. Most of this work was done using cold weather concrete procedures. I was responsible for coming up with several work plans, Estimating, Quality Control to include cold weather concrete procedures, rebar lift procedures etc. The value of this project was $32M. I had up to 55 Bridgeman & staff, to include approx. 10 local aboriginal (native) apprentices.
I interfaced daily with the Owners, Deh Cho Bridge Corp., Design Engineer, Jivko Engineering, local band leaders, GNWT etc.
Ashlu Hydro Power Plant Construction
Squamish British Columbia Project Value $28M
Managed the partial diversion of the Ashlu River and installed a Hydro Electric Plant in support of the 2010 Winter Olympics. This project consisted of managing Carpenters, Pile Drivers, Equipment Operators, Laborers. This was a very environmentally sensitive project due to the existing salmon habitat. Project consisted of formed concrete channels, concrete fish traps, cofferdams & road building.

I was the Field Superintendent on a prototype floating salmon collector. This project included building a causeway, work sites, anchors and preparing the Upper Baker Lake Dam to attach this vessel too. This project is very remote, approx. 14 miles off the road with very limited communications. This project involves cranes, pile drivers, wheel loaders, track excavators, rollers, bridge building, I interface daily and directly with the owner, (Puget Sound Energy), biologist, geologist, hydrologist, engineers, surveyors, Supervising Estimating, various subcontractors, to include welders, boilermakers, carpenters electricians, etc. I was responsible for the daily production, daily cost reporting, safety, material deliveries, manpower & equipment requirements. This project is valued at $38M. This project was a great success that captured several national and international rewards.

Successfully managed several civil water/sewer projects, to include Super Pave projects on Hwy 101. The largest of the projects was a Coal Bed Methane Exploration Project. This project consisted of building roads and drill sites in remote locations on the Oregon Coast. Responsibilities included acquiring all the necessary equipment, manpower, Estimating, negotiating T&M rates, daily accounting, scheduling, permits, safety, road & drill site designs, managing several different sub contractors, aggregate, etc. This project required D8\'s, Graders, Excavators, Rollers, Dump Trucks, union operators & laborers, interfacing daily with various governmental agencies, the owners, geologists, engineers. This project was a 7 day a week, 12hr min. There was no lost time for injuries or equipment break downs.

Successfully bid a 5 year road service contract with the Municipality of Anchorage. The road service contract entails road building and maintenance to include snow removal and sanding of 185 miles of paved & chip sealed roads. Upon winning the bid, I was in charge of procuring the equipment (motor graders, excavators, dozers, wheel loaders, rubber tired backhoe\'s, pneumatic rollers, dump trucks, 12 pickups etc), office/shop, Estimating, hiring a crew of operators, truck drivers, laborers, mechanics and office staff. Set up fueling, preventative maintenance and equipment service schedules. Set up a drug free screening policy. Set up new accounts with various venders in the area. Manage the day to day operations safely, training operators and laborers, to include working with various engineering companies, designs drawings and take-offs, materials and consumables required, estimating various civil projects. Coordinated operations with various Municipal, State and Federal Agencies. Tracked cost accounting (man-hour, equipment utilization, materials used) In charge of work performance and production of a crew of up to 40. Manage the installation of water/sewer utilities, storm and French drain systems, sub-base prep, road building, AC asphalt paving, chip sealing, striping, concrete curb & gutter.
