• Managed, prepared and coordinated site engineering and construction of the 1 million square feet (sf) multi-tenant, fast-track Bronx Terminal Market retail complex in Bronx, NYC. Received “Project of the Year Award” at the 2006 company annual site/civil workshop when presented the complexity in design and site constraints, and the multi-discipline coordination required.
• Initiated company Green Team sustainable protocols in recycling, computer shut down, paper, plotter and cell phone usage in order to reduce company’s energy and resource consumptions. Implementations reduced approximately $100,000 per year in office operation and overhead expenses.
• Performed schematic site planning and earthwork analysis for the NASCAR Speedway project in Staten Island, NY. The site had substantial environmental constraints, wetland and floodplain issues, and geotechnical challenges. Resolved complex site layout and drainage issues with innovative design to maximize usable space while minimizing earthwork cost.
• Prepared the Part 360 landfill permit, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), the permitting package for importing dredging materials and various site feasibility studies for a 375-acre landfill site in Staten Island, NY. Effectively and efficiently compiled the supporting documents to address NYC Department of Environmental Commission (NYCDEC) requirements to remediate and stabilize the site.
• Managed and prepared the site design and permitting Liberty Science Center expansion in Jersey City, NJ. Taken the project from Basis of Design through construction. Provided multi-discipline utility and pile foundation coordination. Obtained specialty permits for saltwater aquarium and groundwater discharge. Oversaw the site construction and shop drawing review.
• Upgraded the stormwater management system and provided the site engineering for the University/Academic Center at St. Johns University in Queens, NY. Obtained NYC Department of Environmental Protection (NYCDEP) Site
• Connections Certificate, and updated the campus-wide NYSDEC Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) to ensure the University expansion is in compliance with State and local regulations.
• Designed the Speedway School and Park Schools in Newark, NJ, from conceptual to construction documents as well as prepared site documents for various other K–12 NJSCC school projects throughout NJ.
• Oversaw and reviewed in-house site and utility feasibility reports for all NJ School Construction Corporation (NJSCC) projects. Standardizing the report findings must identify areas of concern and actions required to provide more value to the client.
• Designed and managed the two-phase expansion of the 940,000 sf Cumberland Mall in Vineland, NJ. Identified concerns and upgraded the on-site storm sewer system to alleviate a pre-existing flooding problem. Redesigned the site circulation by relocating multiple electric towers.
