Business Development / Estimator,
Responsible for new business development for new products that the company started manufacturing and estimating of product cost. Business Development included making cold calls to different contractors and introducing them to companies’ capabilities and assets. I had a 500 mile radius territory for sales development of Las Vegas. Also worked with architects in the design of products for new or remodel projects and getting the materials specified into the project.

Enclosure Superintendent,
Assigned the Podiums for VEER & Mandarin Towers. Within the first four (4) months there were three (3) design changes. In May 2007, I was temporarily reassigned to observe Enclos Glass Co. as they installed the Pelli Tower (also known as ARIA Casino & Hotel). (See www.citycenter.com)
Due to the density of construction on the City Center site, my reports were to be used for logistical purposes on the VEER & Mandarin Towers. They contained panels installed per day, materials stored on site and off-site, man power per day (ground and in the tower), crane usage, material and installation problems.
In early September, reassigned to the Far East Aluminum Receiving /Staging Yard, inventorying and inspecting panels coming in from China. In November, reassigned to the administration team preparing material / work scopes for bids on the VEER Podiums. This ranged from setting up bids for everything from flooring to mailboxes to the exterior curtain wall and panel / louver unitized system and steel support system.

Chief Estimator Glass Division,
Approached the Operations Manager at UBI about starting a glass division at the company. Brought approximately $1.5 million in non-public works projects that SNG left un-completed. Due to established relationships with the general contractors involved, these projects were transferred and completed nearly on schedule. Developed crews and installation procedures and inspected installations. Developed good working relationship with many of the top general contractors in the Las Vegas Area.

Upon joining this company their annual volume was approximately $900,000.00 to $1 million. Within two years sales were up to $3.75 million in backlogged sales. Responsibilities included estimating, project management, and office management. Company closed because of the declining health of the owner.

Responsible for developing detailed take-offs & comprehensive estimates for bids on the exterior skins of commercial structures, including all glass, aluminum framing, metal trim, metal wall panels systems, louvers, sunscreens and canopies. Also, participate in the development of budget figures for new design and conception projects. Oversaw the work of four other estimators. Developed & wrote bid tracking program for the computer system currently in use.
MTK Maintenance & Repairs, Vallejo, CA. 1994 ~ 1999
Owner,
Worked for myself doing general contractor repairs and maintenance to commercial and non-commercial projects. Developed cost estimates, drew up plans, set schedules, obtained permits, did billings / collections, filed liens / pre-liens. Upon successful bid and award, preformed all work myself. Responsible for the maintenance and up-keep of 425 to 450 single and multi-residence units. Also subcontracted installation only, thru ASAP (Architectural Services and Products) in Emeryville, CA, for Horton Automatic Doors and Pass Window in various applications including Class 1 Clean Rooms in the electronic industries. This included electro-mechanical & and pneumatic powered door operators, sensors, motion detector, safety beams and remote paddles. Was licensed for installation work in Class 1 Clean Rooms by Intel Corp.

Senior Estimator,
Cobbledick-Kibbe was the largest glass and glazing company on the west coast. Worked at the companies corporate headquarters as one of four senior estimators. Responsible for estimates on large and / or special projects. In addition, also responsible for the assisting of the estimators at each of our nine glass shops, including training & oversight of all major estimates.

Senior Plant Projects Manager,
Senior Plant Projects Manager for the Stockton, CA. facility. Also worked in engineering, research and development and as a field troubleshooter after the development of the VM product line. Oversaw or directed projects in the USA, Europe and Hong Kong. Responsible for manpower, logistics of materials, and correct installation of all products Robertson produced and designed. This included, but was not limited to, metal insulated unitized wall panels (wet seal, rain screen or unitized pressure equalized wall systems) glass unitized wall systems (wet seal or pressure equalized), steel decking, louvers and ventilation systems. Also responsible for testing of materials, either on site or at a laboratory. Left when company moved to Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
