1985 to October 1994:
· General partner with Summit Properties, developing 3,000 apartment units in Georgia, North and South Carolina, Indiana, and Ohio. Projects were generally $25 to 35 million in today’s prices.
· Responsible charge of all development elements of the apartment projects including feasibility studies, rezoning, market studies, construction estimates, development budgets, proforma, wrote specs, contracting with all designers, consultants and contractors, execution of design and construction and total cost management.
· Wrote and oversaw a (4) volume proposal to the Army Corp Of Engineers for 200 housing units at Fort Bragg.
· Oversaw due diligence efforts during the REIT formation for the benefit of Northwestern Mutual debt pool and the SEC public offering requirements.
1984 to 1985:
· Project manager/estimator at M.B. Kahn Construction Company, an industrial and commercial contractor.
1980 to 1983:
· Senior project manager/estimator at CMA Construction, directly managing a team of people building up to 12 commercial projects simultaneously. Answered to clients and multiple owner/ supervisors. Wrote scopes of work for all prime contracts.
· Construction Administrator at sister company, GMK; Inspecting construction work, solving field problems, approving draws and reporting to owners.
1977 to 1980:
· Project manager/estimator at McCrory Construction Company, a commercial contractor. Built several 200,000 sf dept stores and a 180,000 sf school.
