Please accept my resume for the nuclear technician job, or any other position that would be suitable for me. I am confident that my background and skills in nuclear medicine will prove to be an effective match for your qualifications. I have had a great deal of nuclear experience in hospitals as well as outpatient centers. In the hospital, I have performed varies general studies with confidence as well as cardiac. For the past 5 1/2 years I have worked strictly with nuclear cardiology. I have done dual as well as mibi mibi stress tests, performed Mugas and even viability studies. I assisted the cardiovascular technician in stressing all patients by either walking them or doing a pharmacological stress on the patient. I have experience using Dobutamine, Persantine, Adenosine as most recently Lexiscan. I am still employed as a PRN technologist with Trinity and have been for 9 years. First as a radiographer then a nuclear medicine technologist. I have experienced varies studies and therapies while in the hospital setting. I have had some PET/CT training in the past. I have moved patients from beds to the scanning table and worked with nurses on ICU patients that had to come to the department for a particular study. While rotating through UAB as a nuclear student in 2002 I experienced first had studies that very few hospitals do. These experience’s gave me the opportunity to work closely with a team of doctors, and helped me to understand the importance of being a nuclear medicine technologist.
My nuclear experiences have been positive ones due in part to my interpersonal skills. I work well in teams, am reliable and organized, and enthusiastic to learn. I am sure that I will carry over the same enthusiasm and skill in doing nuclear medicine at your institution. Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Derrick Patterson
