My goal is to assist in construction project efforts, especially as a project engineer, project manager, construction engineer, or construction coordinator. My experience is in coordinating multiple disciplines building dry cask storage pads and installing 10CFR73.55 security upgrade equipment.
If you are looking for someone to coordinate teams on projects, I have experience as a construction project engineer at nuclear power plants and I believe I can make an enormous contribution to a team’s goals. If a construction or project manager needs assistance with any aspect of a project, I am the go-to person because I am organized, smart, and computer-savvy.
I have recently worked as a field project engineer at plants directly assisting the project manager and construction manager, preparing documentation and schedules, and coordinating vendors, subcontractors, engineering teams, and trade workers. I am the "bridge" between all different aspects of projects, and I run the daily operations of engineering and construction projects to free up the project manager to tackle larger issues.
I conduct detailed inspections of field work to ensure compliance with drawings and I update drawings to include the as-built condition. I review drawings and compile packages for submission to customers, I interpret and issue drawings for superintendents and foremen, and I conduct regular meetings in which I set the priorities for multidisciplinary teams of engineers. I conduct daily pre-job safety briefings with craft labor and I monitor work sites for safety issues. I control the bill of materials, including material specifications, field purchases, cost management, and physical inventory. I compile daily work reports, update work schedules, organize project history logs, and issue action item lists.
Please review my resume which also details my initial experience building and installing security systems for nuclear power plants, networking computers and integrating components such as CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection. I then spent time in the field overseeing the installation and construction of security system components with teams of technicians and electricians. I have worked on dry cask storage (ISFSI) and on NRC 10 CFR 73.55 security upgrade requirement projects. I have worked at Cooper, Davis-Besse, Kewaunee, Crystal River, and Turkey Point nuclear power plants.
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from a top-tier school, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where I concentrated my studies in Aerospace Engineering. I was badged at a nuclear plant this year and can clear any background investigation. I am willing to relocate, I will work long hours, and I will travel 100%.
Please inform me whether you might consider me for a position helping projects operate more efficiently.
Thank you,
