I have significant experience in commercialization and investments in the energy sector. I have served as financial and business development advisor for 20+ mergers and acquisitions of electric and gas distribution companies. I focused on nuclear power earlier in my career, project managing at Booz Allen for large energy assignments with Combustion Engineering, Westinghouse, US Dept. of Energy, United Technologies, Allied-Signal and British Gas.
More recently, I have been an innovator for increasing market opportunities in the wholesale electric sector for public and cooperative electric utilities. My skill set is expansive and I can contribute immediately by:
ï± Establishing vision and strategic direction
ï± Forming alliances and negotiating/closing deals
ï± Raising capital for expansion and capital equipment
ï± Identifying and leading entry into untapped markets
ï± Evaluating and assessing new energy technology
I hold an MBA in Finance from University of Chicago Booth School of Business and BSEE from the University of Texas. My training in the US Navy as a Nuclear Submarine Officer has served me well – I can assemble, motivate and manage diverse teams. I have published and spoken often on the topic of energy and sustainability.
