PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Total years of experience: 18 years
August, 2003 – Present: Responsible for overall operations of the company which includes Business development, Project Management, Project Controls & Project Engineering.
As the principal of a small business I was involved in several aspects of the business such as, business development, project management, project controls, project engineering, human resource management, accounts payables and receivables, production etc. This opportunity has given me hands on experience and very good understanding of business side as well technical side of an engineering company.
Currently involved in the following activities on $4.1 Billion Dollar infrastructure project in Louisville, KY:
Involved in Project Management, Project Controls, Financial Management, Public Involvement, various project meetings, Risk Assessment analysis and General Engineering activities.
Currently providing Project Controls on the project utilizing Primavera P6. Coordination with other sub-consultants on the team is performed and necessary information is gathered to input into the Primavera software to generate reports that the client (CTS/KYTC/INDOT) needs. Along with the reports a narrative explaining the reports is prepared to highlight the project progress. Milestone Analysis and Critical Path Analysis is also provided along with the reports to discuss the upcoming milestones as well as the milestones achieved or missed. Critical Path analysis discusses the project schedule and compares planned progress with the actual progress to track the project progress for that particular period. If there are any concerns the issues are discussed during the bi-weekly project meetings with the client team. Based on these discussions corrective measures are taken to bring the project back on track. Earned Value Management is performed and Schedule Performance Index is calculated to study the project progress. Client also calculates these ratios and tracks the project in terms of dollars earned against dollars budgeted for that period to determine if the consultant is either spending the dollars as per the plan or under/over spending the dollars. Invoices are also generated that are in sync with the Primavera reports.
