Duties:
Cadastral Surveying - field work includes: researching, calculating, searching for and setting standard U.S.F.S. Brass Cap monuments on the forest boundary; using original GLO/BLM notes to search for and find original PLSS section corners; posting Forest Service boundary on the Carson front. (Using Trimble G.P.S. – 5700 and R8).
Field inspection of subcontract field crews.
Office work includes: research of private records; research of GLO/BLM field notes and plats; research of municipalities – assessors office, county GIS sites, etc.; research of mineral surveys; meeting with clients to go over contracts and specifications.
Preparation of Trimble Geomatics Office maps, point plots.
Preparation of Autocad maps, contract exhibits (Autodesk Land Desktop 2007).
Preparation of ArcGIS maps, contract exhibits (ArcMAP 9.3).
