CAREER ACHIEVEMENTS
Manufacturing Production Increase: Co-led efforts as pivotal technical leader to increase production for AGC Flat Glass North America. Increased high volume manufacturing production throughput by 100% over a 6 month period while changing from residential to a more difficult industrial product mix.
CMMS, Maintenance, Operational System Implementation: Managed design/deployment of CMMS, maintenance, and operational system for a $3B corporation. System became Wyndham Worldwide standard.
Security Systems Upgrade (for Nuclear Fuel): Took ownership of critical NRC-mandated nuclear fuel physical security systems upgrade for Nuclear Fuel Services, Inc., at a time when necessary equipment / materials were diverted to Persian Gulf - creating 3 years lead time. Identified alterntive materials and equipment to meet the objective and delivered project in 18 months.
Production Process Re-Design; “First of its Kindâ€: Overcame longstanding waste recycling issue in the production of fiber glass: designed/implemented a production process for PPG Industries which allowed UK governmental recycling mandates to be met and allowed manufacturing to remain in UK. This process was implemented in facilities in England, Holland, South and North Carolina. New process was patented leading to a new patented product offering.
Safety Programs: Developed/implemented employee driven, behavior based, accident prevention process. Reduced OSHA recordable injuries 40%, restricted duties activities 50%, and worker’s compensation costs 30%; processes received highest ratings from Duke Power, Progress Industries, USAF, and others.
