I participated in the modeling of nuclear fuel assembly using MCNPX: Geometry modeling of an ADS (Accelerator Driven System) for transmutation of nuclear waste. MCNPX input file for the geometry definition of a 17 x 17 fuel rod array, and the placement of six of theses fuel assemblies around a “spallation neutron†target. The input file also contained elementary source, tally and material definitions (input cards).

Conducted research and contributed to eight papers (the first eight publications in the list under “Publicationsâ€), involving the Mossbauer Effect spectrum. In particular I did Mossbauer data collection and analysis, and study of the Mossbauer Effect. Data collections included sample preparation, and maintain constant liquid nitrogen level in the “Dewerâ€. Data analysis included data folding before fitting the Iron Mossbauer spectrum. The Iron Mossbauer spectrum fits were used to determine the magnetic and chemical properties of Spinel Ferrites, iron containing chemical complexes, Nanocomposites, Magnetic Nanopowders, Perovskites, Alloys, and Iron compounds.
