Sales Consultant – Saturn of Indianapolis – Sales of Saturn new and used car inventory
Home Depot (Greenfield, IN) - Sales consultant for new appliance division
Sales Associate – Mark’s RV Sales/Service – Sales position with a product line to
include tent campers, travel trailers, fifth wheels, Class ‘A,B,C ’ motor homes.
City of Indianapolis, Department of Public Works – Construction Administrator responsible
for the quality, schedule and final cost analysis for all DPW Engineering Capital Projects.
Manage the construction staff, budget and financial expenditures. Managed the Consultant
Inspection contracts. INDOT, other City Agencies, Utility companies, Consultants and the
Public. Direct point of contact on ADA construction related matters for the DPW.
Senior Project Manager managing high intensity infrastructure projects. Responsible for project
design review, negotiations, PM, design/field changes, budget, schedule and quality control.
Project Manager – Self Employed - Contract manager for various types of construction projects.
Responsible for the completion of City, commercial and private projects. Responsible for project
monitoring, quality control, conformance to specifications, development of field changes, price
negotiations, material quality, punch-out and close-out documentation.
City of Indianapolis, Department of DCAM, Parks & Recreation and IDOT- Deputy Engineer,
Area Engineer and Project Engineer/Manager - Responsible for design and review, approval of
commercial, industrial, residential construction projects for the City of Indianapolis. Set quality
control standards for contracts. Responsible for design/construction budget of $3.0 million in
1976 to over $15.0 million in 1996. Number of construction projects ranged from ten (10) to
thirty (30)/construction season.
ADMINISTRATION AND SUPERVISION:
Overall supervision/development/training of engineering and technical support staff for the City
of Indianapolis. Complete responsibility for managing the “infrastructure†construction projects
for the entire City of Indianapolis from 2001 through 2002. Direct supervision of thirteen (13) engineers, project managers in the position of Administrator of Construction Services. Direct
contract administration of a $52 million Capital Improvement Program from 1992 to 1995.
Additional responsibilities included supervision of a $1.0 million budget for a City Union
Construction staff of fifteen (22) light, medium, and heavy equipment operators. Responsible
for maintaining (160) Department of Parks/Recreation facilities. Direct administration of City
engineering projects to include evaluation of construction bids, cost analysis, and contract
documents. Fully knowledgeable of aspects of employee supervision to include affirmative action laws, union agreements, and employee motivation. Department coordination, estimating,
scheduling, preliminary and final construction cost analysis, procurement, contractor payments,
record documents, and auditing. Worked with a broad cross-section of people, including State
and Federal officials, architects, engineers, consultants, other City engineers, utility officials,
and local citizens.
TECHNICAL DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT:
Direct responsibility for the management and supervision of City construction projects. Assisted
the development of the scope of work, design and construction documents. Have assisted in
design/development of road, bridge, building of subdivisions, and drainage projects, park
improvements, aquatic centers and golf course facilities. Complete responsibility to assure
compliance to all applicable City, State, and Federal building codes, specifications, laws, statutes,
and regulations as related to construction projects. Extensive knowledge of construction materials,
methods, equipment, and costs. Coordinate multiple projects and oversee schedules, budgets, and
change orders. Direct quality control for methods of construction, materials, and workmanship.
Responsible to monitor projects for compliance to project plans and specifications.
