Mine development, operations, and maintenance contracts using a Target Pricing Structure – Annual budgets ranged from $18 to $26 million per year per mine. Managed: Accounting, Information Systems, Warehousing, and Human Resource departments. Assisted in annual budget preparation, entered accounting entries, client invoices, produced tax reports, and was responsible for administering bank accounts.

The project budget during my tenure exceeded $118 million. Contract requirements were in accord with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and client auditors had DCAA audit backgrounds.

Coordinated project administration and financial reporting on a $365 million CM contract for a natural gas extraction facility in Illinois. Administered an integrated engineering and construction area office in Mexico City. The area office budget was in excess of $2M. Directed accounting and project cost control team. Company specialized in building offices and manufacturing facilities throughout Mexico.
Supervised the business functions for a light rail project for Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART). The project spanned seven years with a $52M dollar budget. Administered contract and change orders between MK and the client, as well as between MK and its subcontractors in the areas of: traction power, signals, vehicles, station design and various minority subcontractors performing civil engineering design, drafting, and other services. Contract was administered according to FAR standards and requirements, and all applicable client clauses were passed down to 35 subcontractors and incorporated into their subcontracts.

Performed the timekeeping and weekly calculation of a union payroll for the Brownlee Dam construction project. Produced the weekly payroll for 8 different craft unions working in the states of Idaho and Oregon as well as the associated monthly union benefit reports. Different locals required different benefit reports such that 13 separate reports needed to be filed monthly. Also did the same for the administrative staff of 15 non-craft employees.

Maintained personnel records for a management staff of 120 people, as well as records for over 1,150 union craft workers in various building trades. Conducted control payroll distribution verifying physical presence of employees at their work locations.
Arranged accommodations and transportation to the lower 48 states for the same management and craft personnel. Tracked time away from project for R&R, Vacation, and Holiday maintained accruals for accumulated individual employees.
