2006-2010 Sanctuary Systems Limited, Montego Bay Jamaica
Director of Construction directing design and construction activities from start to turnover of The Palmyra Resort & Spa, a US$200M 300 unit project that included three 13 story mixed use towers, Clubhouse, 30,000sqf Spa and a USD $3M beach reconstruction. The project also includes a USD $28M Tri-generation facility that provides all power, chilled water and steam to the project. Responsible for the entire aspects of project life cycle from point of planning through completion, which included assessment of project scope to ensure compliance with company standards, evaluated constructability. Coordinated field activities and enforced compliance with project standards, budgets, quality control and project schedule. Responsible for project delivery involving daily coordination with all consultants, designers and contractors. Consistently maintained project’s cost history to render proportional analysis and deviations. Analyzed and approved construction expenses, as well as rendered project forecasts. Specific works includes design reviews and approvals, design administration, preparation of tender documents, multiple tenders and related evaluations / recommendations, project staffing / administration, cost control, schedule control, quality control, interfacing with local government authorized construction supervision team and overall construction management.
1999-2006 Marriott Ownership Resorts, Inc, Newport Beach, California
Project Manager leading the construction of Marriott’s Newport Coast Villas project from start to the successful finish of 5 phases. A USD$700M total project cost with 700 units Clubhouse, Spa and Sales center on one of the last costal locations in Southern California. Effectively managed preconstruction activities, including strategy, scheduling, budgeting, team formation, logistics, site work and demolition. Lead in all trade buyouts, executed requisition, cost report and pending item reviews with ownership Held inter-departmental meeting with internal consultants, office and field personnel to ensure compliance with mandated schedules and budgets. Led the five phase’s project development of Marriott Newport Coast Villas and completed all phases within the established timeline and budget constraints. Provided extensive value engineering that spurred substantial saving to the project.

Assistant Project Manager / Owners Representative for the Marriott Aruba Beach Resort. Responsible for overseeing building renovation and new construction the 325 room beachfront Resort from start to finish. Tracking contractors schedule, approving and processing pay applications and all submittals. Issuing and overseeing all contracts. Served as the Marriott representative on site to oversee the construction management firm. Responsible for all quality and enforcing all design standards.
1993-1997 Marriott Ownership Resorts, Williamsburg, VA – Boston, Ma – Kauai, HI
Project Superintendent for the Marriott Manor Club Resort from Start to Finish. A 4 phase 200 unit timeshare resort in Fords Colony. Responsible for overseeing building construction, developing schedule and budget. Assisted in developing RFP’s to contractors and approving all pay requisitions for contractors. Recorded site progress and prepared progress reports to corporate headquarters. Provided management support on the 32 story Boston Custom House and the 400 room Kauai Surf Club Resort.
1992-1993 Dawson Construction, Gadson, AL
Project Superintendent for the renovation and conversion of the downtown Denver Post Office to the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. This was a massive historical building renovation of a building that covers two acres. All work was done under the supervision of the GSA and the national historical society.

General Superintendent / Owners Representative responsible for the supervising/managing the simultaneous construction of three $20 million, 160,000 Square foot full service and all suite hotels with financial, scheduling and finish project responsibility from start to finish. Supervising the field staff as well as coordinating the projects with all related headquarters support departments and consulting architects. Total involvement with Marriott during this time included 18 projects.
