SELECTED RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS
• Managed all aspects of a company including development of business and marketing plans, recruitment, hiring and training of personnel, budgeting, P&L, scheduling work and activities, establishing policies and procedures, procurement, performance evaluation and motivation of employees.
• Managed and oversaw a number of $8M - $10M projects simultaneously. Successfully coordinated the work efforts of employees and subcontractors to ensure all projects were completed on time, within specifications and within budget.
• Review historical data and calculate a client’s facility needs for maintenance during a 1 year contracted period. Set cost budgets for monthly repairs and propose a budget that provides the needs of the client at a profit to our company.
• Served to negotiate with a union for completion of project work at a company site where union members were on strike. Proved to the union the value of allowing the work to be completed so that after this labor disagreement, work for all could resume.
• Reviewed a company’s energy footprint and designed a plan to reduce energy costs significantly. Partnered with OEM’s to identify changes in equipment and building structure that succeeded in reducing heating costs 28%.
• Brought a 1940’s plant facility up to 2005 construction codes with no loss in time to the clients manufacturing process. Partnered with plant supervision to plan a workaround project including the rebuild of 40’ wooden trusses without a shutdown in manufacturing.
• Boosted morale through promotion of a team-based work atmosphere. Provided assignments of increased responsibility and implemented insurance and retirement plans for our employees that kept the quality of work high with low turnover.
• Increased productivity by spearheading the ongoing review of new types of equipment and technologies. Tested new types of machinery for various production tasks, and scheduled procurement of that equipment proving to be the most cost effective.

• Increased company revenue by partnering with subcontractors and suppliers to negotiate a hard budget for a client’s 7-year expansion needs. Produced a Time and Materials contract with budgetary caps to address the future needs of the client company.
• Reviewed the current application and purchased proper updates to customize our software for better use in our unique estimating needs. Use of this new application increased estimates completed for new business and increased profitability significantly.
• Reduced OSHA recordable injuries, and brought the company into compliance through development of a comprehensive safety training program on use of our heavy equipment such as forklifts, backhoes, etc. Obtained the necessary certification and then created curricula and materials necessary to deliver certified lecture and one-on-one instruction on this important information.
• Built a 2-story office building from the ground up. Compiled a team of architectural and design professionals to create the necessary plans. Obtained the necessary permitting. Identified and coordinated the efforts of employees and subcontractors to complete each stage on-time and within budget.
