Director Transmission Reliability October 2007 to June 2010
v Provided leadership and direction to my staff as it relates to operations engineering support for the nation’s largest transmission system, control room personnel training, transmission settlements, NERC Reliability Compliance, career development opportunities, HR related issues, salary/departmental budgeting, inter-departmental working relationships, performance reviews, and bonus performance awards.
v Led the inter-departmental effort to develop a uniform methodology to maintain and sustain ECAR/RFC compliance on the company’s various Emergency Operating Plans (namely the Underfrequency Load Shedding program).
v Oversaw and directed Operations Engineering, Transmission Settlements, and Training and Development groups, including direct supervision of thirty-seven employees and functional responsibility over seven remote Transmission Dispatch Center Support Engineers throughout the AEP system.
v Named as one of the AEP lead representatives and successfully supported our group’s reliability standards during the 2009 RFC/SPP/NERC Compliance audit.
v Worked with other leadership within Transmission Operations to develop plans for new control center along with the transition of new back up control center.

Bulk Power System Engineering Support - One of the four on-call engineers to the Transmission System Coordination Desk.
v Developed and implemented emergency operating procedures, utilizing knowledge and information to support transmission system coordinators on a 24-hours/day basis during my week of responsibility. Identified as the last line of authority in permitting scheduled outages to take place on the EHV system.
v Lead engineer on the automatic load shedding project for the Southern Transmission Emergency Procedures (STEP).

v Supported a regional dispatch center on localized procedures and issues, such as mobile tap settings, transmission and distribution capacitor voltage schedules, new transformer installation tap settings, station documentation, SCADA support, post contingency analysis to ensure proper relay operation
