• Quarterly Project Risk Management reviews of all projects managed out of the Charlotte, NC regional office
• Working closely with Business Development and Marketing teams at preparing RFQs and proposals. Also includes being the Lead in presentations to potential owners
• Work closely with Pre-Construction team throughout pre-construction phase of projects. Responsibilities include preparation/review of estimate of general conditions, project schedule, staging and logistic plans, constructability review, and overall review of pre-construction team’s cost estimate for scope inclusion.

Responsible for the oversight of multiple ongoing construction projects including the management of staff, risk assessment, profit & loss, and maintaining positive client relationships.
Turner Construction Co., Baltimore, MD: Operations Manager/Project Executive (2003 – 2004)
Responsible for the day to day operations of the Baltimore office. This is a satellite office reporting to the regional office based in Arlington, VA. In charge of the sales, purchasing, estimating, and operations departments. Also, performed Project Executive responsibilities for the construction of the Johns Hopkins Broadway Research Facility in downtown Baltimore. This project was a state of the art $120 million research facility.
Suitt Construction Co., Birmingham, AL: Operations Manager (2000 – 2003)
Responsible for establishment of the Birmingham Office. This is a satellite office reporting to the Greenville SC headquarters. Responsible for day to day operations. Also had Project Management responsibilities for various clients, including parent company BE&K, Calpine, and Honda.
Suitt Construction Co., Richmond, VA: Senior Project Manager (1997 – 2000)
Responsible for the design oversight and construction of the Norandal Quantum Leap Project, a design-build process project, which was nationally recognized by the Design Build Institute of America. This project was the largest project in west Tennessee history with a TIC value of $253 million. As Senior Project Manager, responsibilities included the construction of the 330,000 s.f. aluminum rolling mill facility, with heavy equipment foundations and heavy mechanical and electrical processes.
Suitt Construction Co., Richmond, VA: Senior Estimator / Project Manager (1988 – 1997)
• Successfully bid multiple projects which included lump sum / plans & specs jobs, as well as, complicated design-build projects. With prior experience both estimating and managing projects, requests were often made by corporate officers for the oversight/personal bid of challenging projects, regardless of regional assignment.
• As a project manager for this regional contractor, responsibility for a project began with the estimation/bid of the job. Once the project was successfully won, then responsibility was shifted to the management of the project. Involved with the successful completion of over 20 projects ranging in size from $1 million to $15 million. Types of projects ranged from construction of corporate office buildings, banks, shopping centers, and other various commercial projects.

• Market Common, Myrtle Beach, SC: Approx. 300,000 sf. with a construction value of $33 million. Located on the former Myrtle Beach Air Force Base, this mixed use redevelopment consisted of a mix of retail, restaurant, residential and parking. Bovis Lend Lease provided construction management at-risk services for three residential buildings that provided 99 apartments. Each structure was four-stories and each first floor was used for retail space. In addition, there was a separate three-story parking deck with 316 parking spaces.
• The Horizon, Myrtle Beach, SC: Approx. 375,000 sf. with a construction value of $42 million. Bovis Lend Lease provided construction management at-risk services for this 13-story condominium with 142 units. Amenities include indoor and outdoor pools, an exercise room, a rooftop sundeck, and on-site parking deck.
• IKEA, Charlotte, NC: Approx. 344,000 sf. with a construction value of $25 million. Bovis Lend Lease provided construction management at-risk services for this two-story superstore, the first in the Carolinas. The structure is located on 41 acres. The facility included warehousing, customer service, a cafeteria-style restaurant, children’s play area and 1,675 surface parking spaces.

• Johns Hopkins Broadway Research Building, Baltimore, MD: construction of 10-story building with 372,000 sf. Approx. construction value of $120 million.
• Greenville County School System, Greenville, SC: construction of 3 high schools at approx. 250,000 sf. each. Approximate construction value for each is $30 million. Construction of 60,000 sf. Fine Arts facility with approx. construction value of $11 million.
• Cabarrus County Jail, Concord, NC: Construction of 3 buildings - Sheriff’s annex, Administrative building (law enforcement center), and housing unit. Total construction value is $95 million.

(1988 – 2003) – Sr. Project Manager / Project Executive
• Norandal Aluminum, Huntingdon, TN: design-build fast track construction of 330,000 sf aluminum processing facility and a 20,000 sf. administration building. TIC was $253 million – building construction was $52 million.
• Honda Automotive, Lincoln, AL: design-build construction of paint shop with approx. construction value of $26 million.
• KTH Automotive, Lincoln, AL: design-build construction of 225,000 s.f. automotive supplier production facility. Primary supplier to Honda Plant in Lincoln Alabama. Construction value of $22 million.
• GE, Portland, TN: design-build construction of 400,000 sf. administrative and distribution facility. Approx. construction value was $9 million.
• Bowater, Memphis, TN: design-build construction of paper refining facility (Tennessee) with approx. construction value of $15 million.
• Calpine Cogen facilities, AL & GA: joint venture construction project with parent company BE&K. BE&K performed the heavy industrial work. Suitt performed the construction of all of the support and administrative buildings. Three project locations. Approx. construction value $18 million each.
• Pope Air Force Base, Fayetteville, NC: design-build construction of C-130 Paint / De-paint facility with construction value of $43 million.
• Richmond Cold Storage, Richmond, VA: design-build construction of 235,000 s.f. cold storage facility. Construction value of $38 million.
• Virginia International Terminal, Norfolk, VA: design-build construction of 200,000 s.f. cold storage facility. Construction value of $35 million.
• Norfolk Naval Station, Norfolk, VA: Multiple Lump Sum / Hard Bid contracts for construction and renovation of facilities on base. Typical project value of $3 million
• Maruchan Foods, Richmond, VA: design-build construction of $19 million dollar food processing plant with administrative office building.
• Scott & Stringfellow, Richmond, VA: construction of 6-story office building with approx. construction value of $6 million
• Albright & Wilson, Richmond, VA: design-build construction of 3-story headquarters facility with approx. construction value of $10 million.
